SULTANAHMET MOSQUE
It had been built by Sedefkar Mehmet Ağa with the order of Sultan I. Ahmet on the venue having the same name between the years 1609 and1616.
Sultanahmet which is the mosque having six minarets is the second greatest mosque which had been built in Ottoman Era. The inside of the mosque is lightened with 260 windows and its walls and ceilings are decorated with blue- green İznik ceramics. It is known as blue mosque by the voyagers due to this reason.
